Today the Center released an important internal USFWS memo prepared by biologists in Arizona and sent to Dale Hall, FWS regional manager in Albuquerque.

"Science, fairness, and local interests are at high risk of being squashed by unethical federal and corporate anti-conservation politics," said Daniel R. Patterson, Desert Ecologist with the Center in Tucson. "The cactus pygmy owl must stay on the endangered species list to survive in Arizona, and critical habitat must be restored for owls to recover."
