June 11, 1997 – The coquí guaj ón was listed as threatened.
June 10, 2003 – The Center filed a lawsuit to compel the Fish and Wildlife Service to designate critical habitat and prepare a recovery plan for the coquí guaj ón .
February 8, 2004 – The Center secured a settlement agreement wherein the Service agreed to prepare a recovery plan by November 2004 and make a critical habitat determination by September 2006.
September 24, 2004 – The Service published a final recovery plan for the species.
October 23, 2007 – The Service designated critical habitat for the coquí guaj ón.
